Constructed using quality timber along with the elegance and comfort of classic design, the Peacock Chair is ideal to add an element of flair to any living space. Originally designed by Hans Wegner in 1947, the back of the chair is modelled around the shape of a peacock's splayed tail feathers and inspired the chair's name.
Conceived in 1949 by Hans Wegner, the original Wishbone Chair was inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants perched on Chinese Ming chairs and is one of his most recognisable pieces. The popularity of the chair and stool are due to the striking profile, generous size and lightweight frame. The steam bent arm and backrest represent a poultry wishbone, which inspired its name.
